Our dual-fuel experience goes all the way back to 2013. Today, we have one of the largest offerings of deployed dual-fuel frac fleets on US land. Tomorrow and beyond, we look to continue to add emissions-reducing frac equipment to our frac portfolio.
Optimized trucking
The trucks that journey to and from the wellsite are indispensable to oilfield operations. And based on the sheer number of transport trucks that support our industry, there’s an incredible opportunity to improve environmental performance and reduce traffic on community roadways.
From digitally optimized last-mile logistics to powder-based friction reducers that eliminate the need to transport large volumes of liquids, we’re getting more done with fewer trucks on the road. The results are reduced fuel consumption, decreased emissions, lower delivery costs, less traffic, and less idle time for our drivers.
Fuel reduction
In addition to dual-fuel frac fleets, there are other important ways we can improve fuel efficiency. For starters, NexTier offers premium fuel additives that deliver cleaner fuel combustion, lower consumption and fewer carbon emissions. Blended with the diesel fuel supply, these high-performance chemistries have been proven in the lab to reduce up to 14% of CO2e emissions and up to 50% of particulate emissions.
